About Us
Have you been to Gerry’s Grill in Robinsons Place Malolos? Well, it’s one of Bulacan’s most favourite restaurants especially because of their signature kare-kare, sisig and crispy pata.
But before you get confused why is it being mentioned here, it’s better to introduce it now as one of San Pablo’s major investments for its members and the whole community. As you go through, you’ll get to be enlightened about SPMPC and its milestones through the years.
Our Story
About what we do and how we got here
It was during the early 90s that the San Pablo Multipurpose Cooperative was formed. The interweaving of dreams of the local farmers strengthened their goals to establish an organization that could address their need for sufficient supply for their farming and day-to-day needs. The cooperative was initiated by Mr. Narciso C. Avendaño.
Through the help of 20 fellow farmers, and assistance of Mrs. Erlinda Alejo of the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and Mr. Aguinaldo Vizconde of PAIDO, the cooperative was registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on February 19, 1992 with an initial Share Capital of Php 11,000.00.
Although SPMPC encountered trials and difficulties, through the years it has been true to its mission of addressing the needs of the farmers and uplifting the lives of their families. In fact, it bagged several outstanding and highly-acclaimed awards like:
- “Natatanging Kooperatiba sa Bulacan” (thrice in a row),
- “Ginintuang Huwaran Kooperatiba sa Bulacan”,
- “Natatanging Kooperatiba sa Agrikultura sa Gitnang Luzon”,
- “Most Outstanding Multipurpose (Agricultural) Cooperative in Region III”,
- “Most Outstanding Primary Cooperative Award (Agricultural Multipurpose Cooperative Category) 2nd Runner-up National Level”, and
- “Cooperative Award for Continuing Excellence (Coop-Ace)”.
Due to the leaders’ passion and undying commitment, SPMPC still continues to grow as a strong cooperative that always answers to the needs of its members and community.

Seeing members of the cooperative satisfied and helped by the institution inspires him. It motivates him to think of more projects wherein members will benefit. In line with this, he wishes to stick in their minds that in times of need, the coop is like a family they can depend on.
